Cutouts shoes can be really hot!

Everywhere you look there are cutouts.  Cut out shoes, cut out jeans, cut out dress, cut out tops.  Why do we all love cutouts so so much.  Men love them because they provide just enough skin to keep the imagination working.  Women love them because they keep the men looking.  And, we love them because they look so good.  So, we continue to get new cut out tops, dresses, jeans and SHOES

Michael Kors Cutout Pump 735

Pictured here is the Michael Kors addition to the cutout craze.  If you have ever owned a pair of cutout shoes or sandals, you know that one of the problems with this type of shoe is the way the straps work around the baby or pinky toe.  If the straps aren’t placed just right, the pinky toe finds its way out of the straps and is pinched  when you move your feet – very uncomfortable.  This is such an uncomfortable problem that the shoes probably find their way into the trash  after only a few wearings.

Well, it looks like Mr. Kors added extra straps where the pinky toe fits in the shoe to help keep that toe in place and the shoes comfortable to wear.  Thanks Mr. Kors.  This beauty costs over $700, so you need to be sure and wear your heel shield when you drive in this shoe.  Not only will you damage the leather, but you will have funny dirt lines on your feet. May as well spend the measly little $15.99 and save your $700 shoe.

This shoe belongs to Vanessa Rossington and it is really HOT!!! Vanessa Rossingtons Photo A really Hot example of the cutout shoe!  Thanks for letting me use this picture Vanessa!

FAVORITE Shoes for 2009 and some boots

Shoe Designers have taken shoes to a level that I think was unexpected.  and, 2009 was the year for Shoes. Sex and the City may have had something to do with kicking off the shoe craze.   Prior to Sex and the City I was a Stuart Weitzman devotee and satisfied.Manolo Blahnik OTK  Then Manolo Blahnik burst on the scene – AND Jimmy Choo became a household name.  Christian Louboutin has taken it to another level.  Shoes are super fun and super high.  But as The Shoe Gal stated, “height doesn’t matter with a well-made shoe.

Christian Louboutin opened his first shop in Paris in 1992, and Manolo Blahnik’s first shop has been on the scene since 1972 and Jimmy Choo in 1996, and it seems the shoe frenzy started in the new century.  I know I am Tardy to the Party, but I am there now AND WOW!

Dior had  Dior Drape Front Bootie several shoes that had fabulous gold stilettoDior Red Serpent Pump heels.

Giuseppe Zanotti wonGiuseppe Zanotti OTK Grey Embossed Croc the Designer of the Year Award  for 2009 and here is his OTK boot in gray suede

Each pair of shoes on this page costs over $500 and none of them came with a Heel Shield which I think is a shame. Heel Shields are a good companion for suede, delicate leather  and light colored shoes.  Driver’s Black Heel on any of these shoes would be a shame and so easily prevented.

Hanging with Steve Harvey

I was the lucky winner of two tickets to a recent Steve Harvey Morning Show at KMart.  I had no idea what to expect, especially since I hadn’t had the opportunity to hear his show before arriving.

Watching the morning show team in action was quite fascinating and Steve is even funny at 5:00 am.  I have to admit I went to the show to get a chance to show Steve the Heel Shield.  Steve is known for his suits.  I though his shoes would be nice, but the shoes were even better than nice.  HPIM0511  This is Steve’s Blue Suede Shoe – FABULOUS!  And, the sole of the shoe is red with three gold bars near the heel.  Beautiful shoe. (Is Christian Louboutin doing men’s shoes now?)   In fact, most of the shoes on the morning show staff were very nice.

Ramonski Love was also at the show that morning.  And, here are Ramonski’s shoes.  HPIM0505 Ramonski got his Heel Shield at the morning show.

I gave a Heel Shield to one of the ladies on the team and she let Steve see her bookmark and Heel Shield.  Steve Harvey read the bookmark information to the studio audience and complimented me on the creation of a great product.  Steve Harvey made several complimentary comments about the Heel Shield

This more a picture of the material of the suit than it is the shoe. HPIM0510  And, this shoe belongs to Steve Harvey’s Body Guard Boomerang – He took a pink Heel Shield for his wife – he loved Heel Shields toooooooooooo!HPIM0509

CUTE CROCS

Now that is something that I would never have expected that I would say – or even think!

Today, I saw a pair of cute Crocs. They were green and looked adorable. I have to admit the size of the Crocs had a lot to do with their ‘cuteness.’green crocs A cute little toddler girl had on green Crocs with a face built into the shoe. Both the shoes and the toddler were adorable!

I realize that there are a lot of people who swear by the comfort of their Crocs.  But for me, I can’t try them on for the experience, because I can’t imagine looking down and seeing them on my beautiful feet.

I am waiting for a Croc that appeals to my aesthetic – and then I will have to try them!

Shoes at the Chgo Football Classic

The Football Classic is a Chicago Classic.  Most of the party is in the hallways of the Suites and in the Parking Lot.  The battle of the bands gets the most fan attention.  And lots of people come out.  There are so many people to reacquaint with and new people to meet, that sometimes I forgot to take pictures.  HPIM0393  HPIM0417

These are the first shoes and the last shoes of the day.

The shoes ran the gamut – flats, sandals, boots, shooties, sequined heels, and of course  pumps!

Thanks to the Barefoot Drivers!

I just wanted to say “Thank You” to all of the Barefoot Drivers.  No, I am not happy that you are not a customer.  A Heel Shield is a much better option than driving barefoot – keeps the inside and outside of the shoe clean.

And, barefoot drivers probably don’t realize that along with the dirt from their car mats (that is going into the ‘shoes they are trying to save’) are thousands  of bacteria.  And, we all know what bacteria does in dark damp places!

I realize that  for years you have tried all sorts of things to protect the outside of your shoe, (towels and special mats) – but Heel Shields weren’t invented yet.  So you settled on barefoot driving.  I am sorry that the inside of your shoes may have an odor and the inside not look so good.  I am sorry it took so long to get Heel Shields on the market.  But I thank you for validating the need for Heel Shields by taking off your shoes to PROTECT YOUR SHOE INVESTMENT!

The Cobbler and The Heel Shield

I stopped by my cobbler’s  shop today with my Magic Marketing Master to see if he  could coerce The Cobbler into starring in a video about Heel Shields

Prior to stopping by, my cobber was unaware of my product and probably didn’t remember me either (but that is another story).

 small Jessica Simpson with HeelShields

Anyway MMM (Magic Marketing Master) asked the cobbler  about repairing the shoe having BLACK HEEL (the damage to the rear of the shoe caused by UNPROTECTED driving).  The Cobbler stated: “we can clean them but the place where the leather is damaged – CAN’T BE REPAIRED.

The Cobbler went on to tell us about how in the past he carried items that were placed on the car mats – but he eventually stopped carrying them – BECAUSE – they didn’t work.

The Cobbler was quite skeptical about the Heel Shield at first.  SOOOO, I showed him how the Heel Shield would fit on the damaged shoe.  THEN, I put the same Heel Shield on the boot of the MMM and back on the ladies high heel.  HE WAS SOLD!

The Cobbler placed an order on the spot!  Still we couldn’t get The Cobbler to do the video – OH WELL!

THE BOOT for Fall - OTK

This fall, the hot boot for the season will be the Over-The-Knee boot.  Christian Louboutin and Prada have created some “to die for” (can I still use that phrase) boots for this season.  And the Style war rages!

As you can see, the days of “swash buckling” OTK boots is gone.  We no longer have to look like pirates.  Even though I have seen a few boots that look back towards the old style.  But here is a OTK Biker Boot even a square girl could love!

Each of these boots should come with a Heel Shield!  It is impossible to take these Thousand Dollar boots off in the car in order to prevent getting Black Heel stains while driving.

Chicago TV Debut

Got to the TV Station a half-hour earlier than the hour early requested. Really excited about the appearance - 3 minutes to talk about Heel Shields to a large TV audience - GREAT!

The Green Room was already full of people and their products. Everyone was really friendly and sharing information.

The Intern (Anne) talked about how the selection of the six finalists for the show were chosen - I missed it. I was working on getting organized. However, I did hear the part about the original grouping was over 100 Inventors and Entrepreneurs.

So, to be one of the six was quite an accomplishment in itself. Some of the finalists were calling the station about segments and others were sending email - I am not sure how I was chosen, but I am happy I was.

Here is the URL for the show - hope you watch! http://tiny.cc/HeelShieldsABCTV

She did it Again - Whoopi wore heels

It is amazing. I haven't watched the view since the few weeks after the election. So, it was really a surprise to see that Whoopi wore heels again. I don't know if anyone else cares, but I love shoes and some of the shoes she wears are hard to look at for any length of time. So, it is really good when she wears a pair of shoes that are easy on the eyes!

So I say - Good Going Whoopi!

Whoopi wore Heels

Last week on The View Whoopi wore Heels (actually shooties). She looked wonderful. So, now I have a new reason to watch the view - to see if Whoopi is going to keep up her new shoe style.

Last month, Whoopi was wearing something that looked liked clogs - yuuck! Now, she is wearing more stylist shoes. Since I am very much into shoes, I am happy about her new shoe style.

The other ladies on The View all wear great shoes and the ladies who come on the shoe normally all have on the latest shoe fashion.

Go Whoopi!

Does Barefoot driving save your shoes?

There has been talk for years as to the legality of driving barefoot. It seems that research on the web claims that laws against barefoot driving are only urban legends. However, in Alabama it is against the law to drive a motorcyle barefoot.

And, in most countries driving barefoot is allowed. However, being stopped for a traffic violation and the discovery that the driver is barefoot may cause the driver to receive a citation - based on the officer's perception of whether or not being barefoot played a part in the violation.

In my opinion the biggest problem with driving barefoot has more to do with the car mats than it does with anything else. The inside of the car collects dirt and debris. So if you drive barefoot the bottom of your feet and your heels will experience BLACK HEEL - the condition caused by UNPROTECTED DRIVING. If you drive barefoot and don't clean your feet prior to putting on your expensive shoes, the dirt from the inside of the car is now on the inside of the shoe.

The best way to keep your shoes nice (clean on the inside and on the outside), versus driving barefoot, using a towel over your car mats or using a driving shoe is to use a Heel Shield (http://www.theheelshield.com/).
The Heel Shield slips easily onto the rear of the shoe providing an easy method for keeping the shoes clean and free from scuffing and staining. Also using the Heel Shield keeps the car mats from getting holes caused by driving (using shoes to drive with the heels pressed into the car mats). And, in the winter months, the car interior is cold and in the snow belt the car mats are usually wet. This also makes driving barefoot uncomfortable. Again, the Heel Shield to the rescue. With the Heel Shield - a Unisex device - shoes and boots are protected from salt stains and water marks.

Heel Shields created to STOP BLACK HEEL

Heel Shields were created to solve a very real problem. Over time, driving will damage the back right heel of the driver's shoe - causing BLACK HEEL. BLACK HEEL the condition caused by UNPROTECTED DRIVING!

In fact, driving a manual transmission can cause the driver to have BLACK HEEL on both shoes.

Several years ago I purchased a red and yellow pair of Stuart Weitzman designer shoes. I wore and drove my car with the red pair of shoes many times - NO PROBLEM!

Then, one day, I was all dressed in and my Beautiful New yellow Stuart Weitzman's Shoes (first wearing). When I arrived, as I was walking to the function from my car someone stopped me to ask, "What is that on the back of your shoe?" To my horror when I looked the back of my shoe was black and all of the yellow leather finish was gone from the shoe. I LOVED this shoe (remember bought two pair)!

So, I tried to have the shoe repaired. I took them to the BEST shoe repair shop in Chicago. No luck. Had the shoe dyed many times - each time you could still see the scarred part- now it was just a weird, bumpy yellowish color. Thanks to this yellow shoe, I created The Heel Shield. (http://www.theheelshield.com/)

Now no one has to suffer with BLACK HEEL anymore. I did some research and found that people have tried to create a solution to this very real problem for years. Driving shoes were also created to solve this problem.

The problem with the other solutions is they really don't solve the problem or allow the driver to wear shoes that match their outfit. Driving shoes work, however, special driving shoes are expensive, the driver must change shoes or wear the same driving shoes all the time. Changing shoes to drive is inconvenient - especially when the shoes have buckles or straps or when wearing boots.

If the choice is to use Speciality Car Mats, as soon as the car mats become wet or get older, the preventative mats cause the same problem as regular car mats - scuffing the shoe. The Heel Shield is UNISEX - one size fits mens and womens shoes and boots. It is easy to use - SLIPS easily ON the shoe in the car and easily SLIPS off prior to exiting the car. Heel Shields also protect car mats from holes - drivers are able to rest their foot on the car mat - saves the mats and makes for a more comfortable drive.
