Cutouts shoes can be really hot!

Everywhere you look there are cutouts.  Cut out shoes, cut out jeans, cut out dress, cut out tops.  Why do we all love cutouts so so much.  Men love them because they provide just enough skin to keep the imagination working.  Women love them because they keep the men looking.  And, we love them because they look so good.  So, we continue to get new cut out tops, dresses, jeans and SHOES! 

 

Pictured here is the Michael Kors addition to the cutout craze.  If you have ever owned a pair of cutout shoes or sandals, you know that one of the problems with this type of shoe is the way the straps work around the baby or pinky toe.  If the straps aren’t placed just right, the pinky toe finds its way out of the straps and is pinched  when you move your feet – very uncomfortable.  This is such an uncomfortable problem that the shoes probably find their way into the trash  after only a few wearings. 

Well, it looks like Mr. Kors added extra straps where the pinky toe fits in the shoe to help keep that toe in place and the shoes comfortable to wear.  Thanks Mr. Kors.  This beauty costs over $700, so you need to be sure and wear your heel shield when you drive in this shoe.  Not only will you damage the leather, but you will have funny dirt lines on your feet. May as well spend the measly little $15.99 and save your $700 shoe.

Sarah Jessica Parker – THE SHOE GAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I watched a rerun of a Bravo Show “Watch What Happens Live”  because SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) was the guest.  SJP is quite a lady.  In the one hour program  SJP never said a negative word about anything.  SJP knows how to put a good spin on everything.  I was TOTALLY IMPRESSED!  In fact, I am now a bigger SJP Fan. 

SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker)  had on a cute little black dress and black rhinestone pantyhose and  Red Charlotte Olympia Shoes.  She looked great.  I really want a pair of the hose she was wearing.  (I have seen similar hose in the past and I an happy they are in style this season – a great look for New Year’s Eve. )

Well, I searched for an hour on the internet and was unable to find a picture of the Fogal Rhinestone Hosiery online.  Hopefully, the expensive hosiery store at the Water Tower Shopping Center in Chicago is still there and carrying this hosiery.

I was also unable to find the Charlotte Olympia shoes that SJP wore, but here is a cute pair that I found and really like. 

I can’t believe I can’t find the rhinestone hosiery or a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker in the hosiery.  Oh Well!  

Wish I could get a Heel Shield to SJP to get her opinion of the product.  Since Sarah Jessica Parker is “TheShoeGal” I would love to know what she thinks about our nifty little shoe care product.

Whoopi in Christian Louboutin’s

Whoopi spent the weekend in England doing stuff with the Queen.  And in she mentioned that in her performance she wore Christian Louboutins!  Yes, that makes me happy – every woman should own a pair of CL’s at some time in her life (I am still working on my first pair).  

Funny on the day that Whoopi mentions wearing CL’s, Elizabeth was wearing her favorite shoes – the beige jeweled peep toe pumps.  This has to be the fifth time I have seen them this season.  However, I have to admit that they are better than the brown flat boots she also likes to wear OFTEN!  Unfortunately, the brown flat boots look like she has kicked all of the leather off the toe of both boots – she needs to retire them. 

Sherri – thanks to Sherri – she again had on some fabulous boots and shoes this week.  A pair of suede CL’s and some others that I am unable to identify – but they were still very nice. 

Since the show is in New York, I wonder if any of the ladies drive?  If they do, Heel Shields would be a great item to gift them all with for Christmas.  I wonder if I sent them if they would get them? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

Whoopi in a Wedge Boot/Elizabeth in a rerun!

I got a chance to look at the view recently.  And the shoes on the show were good.  Whoopi had on a black wedge.  I love it when Whoopi wears a nice shoe.  Barbara and Joy had on sensible (not my descriptive word – borrowing from the industry) black pumps.  In fact, this seems to be their footwear of choice these days. 

Sherrie had on knee-high black boot.  Carrie Prejean wore a tan hidden platform with a 4-5 inch heel – really nice like Sherrie’s.   And, Laurence Fishburne wore a boot with  brass toes and flower patterned jeans.  I don’t usually find Laurence to be sexy, but he was hitting on all points today. 

And Elizabeth AGAIN wore a jeweled tan peep toe.  I think she really likes this shoe since I know I she has worn it before.  Now I am going to have to see the shoes every day to see how many times she wears them this season.

A new form of Athlete’s Foot

I have to admit that I am suffering from a new form of Athlete’s Foot.  This is a form of Athlete’s Foot that only affects women. 

How is that possible you ask?  Men  can’t get this too? Well, they do, but considering how men’s feet tend to look, this isn’t an issue for them.  However, take a close look at this celebrity foot, she to suffers from this Athlete Foot.   Look closely and you can see how her feet are a different color from her legs.  This celebrity is an athlete and the tan from wearing her athletic shoes while working out keeps her feet from tanning at the same rate as her legs – hence the new type of athletes foot.  So ladies, lets wear our athletes foot as a badge of honor.  Working out and participating in various sports gives us weird tans, but our bodies (and our men) love us for the effort.  Now the nail polish styling is another story. 

Shoes at the Chgo Football Classic

The Football Classic is a Chicago Classic.  Most of the party is in the hallways of the Suites and in the Parking Lot.  The battle of the bands gets the most fan attention.  And lots of people come out.  There are so many people to reacquaint with and new people to meet, that sometimes I forgot to take pictures.   

These are the first shoes and the last shoes of the day. 

The men in Chicago also pride themselves on having really stylish shoes!  The slacks were also something to see, but we were really only shooting pictures of shoes.  Except for the black leather/vinyl leggings! (She looked Great!)

                                

The shoes ran the gamut – flats, sandals, boots, shooties, sequined heels, and of course  pumps!

 

The following shoes are my favorites from the day.  Now understand, all of the shoes I photographed stood out on their own.

Thanks to the Barefoot Drivers!

I just wanted to say “Thank You” to all of the Barefoot Drivers.  No, I am not happy that you are not a customer.  A Heel Shield is a much better option than driving barefoot – keeps the inside and outside of the shoe clean. 

And, barefoot drivers probably don’t realize that along with the dirt from their car mats (that is going into the ‘shoes they are trying to save’) are thousands  of bacteria.  And, we all know what bacteria does in dark damp places! 

I realize that  for years you have tried all sorts of things to protect the outside of your shoe, (towels and special mats) – but Heel Shields weren’t invented yet.  So you settled on barefoot driving.  I am sorry that the inside of your shoes may have an odor and the inside not look so good.  I am sorry it took so long to get Heel Shields on the market.  But I thank you for validating the need for Heel Shields by taking off your shoes to PROTECT YOUR SHOE INVESTMENT!

The Cobbler and The Heel Shield

I stopped by my cobbler’s  shop today with my Magic Marketing Master to see if he  could coerce The Cobbler into starring in a video about Heel Shields. 

Prior to stopping by, my cobber was unaware of my product and probably didn’t remember me either (but that is another story). 

 

Anyway MMM (Magic Marketing Master) asked the cobbler  about repairing the shoe having BLACK HEEL (the damage to the rear of the shoe caused by UNPROTECTED driving).  The Cobbler stated: “we can clean them but the place where the leather is damaged – CAN’T BE REPAIRED.  

The Cobbler went on to tell us about how in the past he carried items that were placed on the car mats – but he eventually stopped carrying them – BECAUSE – they didn’t work. 

The Cobbler was quite skeptical about the Heel Shield at first.  SOOOO, I showed him how the Heel Shield would fit on the damaged shoe.  THEN, I put the same Heel Shield on the boot of the MMM and back on the ladies high heel.  HE WAS SOLD!

The Cobbler placed an order on the spot!  Still we couldn’t get The Cobbler to do the video – OH WELL!

Heel Shields created to STOP BLACK HEEL

In fact, driving a manual transmission can cause the driver to have BLACK HEEL on both shoes.

Several years ago I purchased a red and yellow pair of Stuart Weitzman designer shoes. I wore and drove my car with the red pair of shoes many times - NO PROBLEM!

Then, one day, I was all dressed in and my Beautiful New yellow Stuart Weitzman's Shoes (first wearing). When I arrived, as I was walking to the function from my car someone stopped me to ask, "What is that on the back of your shoe?" To my horror when I looked the back of my shoe was black and all of the yellow leather finish was gone from the shoe. I LOVED this shoe (remember bought two pair)!

So, I tried to have the shoe repaired. I took them to the BEST shoe repair shop in Chicago. No luck. Had the shoe dyed many times - each time you could still see the scarred part- now it was just a weird, bumpy yellowish color. Thanks to this yellow shoe, I created The Heel Shield. Now no one has to suffer with BLACK HEEL anymore. I did some research and found that people have tried to create a solution to this very real problem for years. Driving shoes were also created to solve this problem.

The problem with the other solutions is they really don't solve the problem or allow the driver to wear shoes that match their outfit. Driving shoes work, however, special driving shoes are expensive, the driver must change shoes or wear the same driving shoes all the time. Changing shoes to drive is inconvenient - especially when the shoes have buckles or straps or when wearing boots.

If the choice is to use Speciality Car Mats, as soon as the car mats become wet or get older, the preventative mats cause the same problem as regular car mats - scuffing the shoe. The Heel Shield is UNISEX - one size fits mens and womens shoes and boots. It is easy to use - SLIPS easily ON the shoe in the car and easily SLIPS off prior to exiting the car.
